Trouble Condition: Sensor Not Found

If you have tried to add the Siren Detector to your LifeShield system and the sensor is not being detected by the system, you may need to follow some additional steps.

If you are trying to add the Siren Detector to the LifeShield system using the Console and it isn’t working, it may be for one of these reasons:
1.  Range:Siren Detector may be too far away from Console, Base, Cellular Gateway, Handset, or Grid Extender. The Siren Detector, like all sensors, needs to be within 30 feet of one of the grid controllers. Try moving Siren Detector closer to system and try again.
2.  Battery Contact: Sometimes the battery doesn’t make good contact within the Siren Detector. Try opening the Siren Detector, adjusting the battery, replacing the cover, and trying again to add it using the Console.
3.  Siren Sound: The smoke/fire detector or carbon monoxide detector the Siren Detector is next to needs to emit a loud, consistent sound. If you have a talking siren, a quiet one, or one that makes musical tones, the siren detector will not work. Try placing the siren detector next to a different smoke alarm or purchase one that fits that criteria.
