Owens will immediately assume the role of CEO with LifeShield investor and outgoing CEO, Mike Hagan, continuing in his role as Chairman. An accomplished senior marketing executive who has worked with some of the world’s best-known brands, Owens brings to LifeShield more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience. Prior to joining LifeShield, Owens was Chief Marketing Officer with financial services firm, J.G. Wentworth, where he managed a $70 million marketing budget and led efforts in digital marketing, direct response advertising and customer management. He was previously Head of Marketing for ING DIRECT, one of the nation’s largest digital banks, and he became Managing VP of Bank Marketing for Capital One when Capital One bought ING DIRECT. At Capital One, Owens helped grow its national consumer and small business bank portfolio of nine million customers and $165 billion in deposits.
