No tools are needed to set up the LifeShield security system in your home. When you open the LifeShield box, you’ll have everything you need to set up your system. In fact, you can have your whole house protected in about 60 minutes. That means you don’t need a technician coming into your home, disrupting your family’s schedule!
Only the LifeShield base station provides 4 layers of protection—high-speed Internet, cellular signal, cellular text, and landline phone, for fast response times that will reach the monitoring center in seconds. So even if the Internet goes down and the phone lines are cut, your system will help you stay protected. If the power is out, LifeShield’s base keeps going with a 24-hour battery backup, helping ensure seamless support of the 4 layers of protection.
Once an alarm event is confirmed by one of your emergency contacts or neither contact can be reached, the monitoring center will immediately contact your local emergency services dispatch center to inform them of the emergency. At that point, your local dispatch center and emergency responders will be in control. Speed of dispatch is dependent upon the dispatch center reaction time, availability of responders, and travel distance for the responders.
