Trouble Condition: Sensor Not Working/Not Sensing Motion
SOLUTION TO MOTION SENSOR NOT WORKING/NOT SENSING MOTION
Your LifeShield Motion Sensor has a built-in, 3-minute waiting period before it begins detecting motion. So if you set your alarm and wonder why your movement isn’t setting off the Motion Sensor immediately, it is because of that 3-minute delay. Once the Sensor is tripped, it enters the 3-minute delay as well, to conserve battery. Once the delay ends, the Motion Sensor scans until it becomes tripped again, regardless of how long it takes. To test properly, arm the system in “away” mode and wait 3 minutes. Then, walk in front of the Sensor and listen for the entry delay tone from the Console.
