Mother Nature can offer home security too.

As the winter weather leaves a trail of snow across the United States, stupid burglars are leaving their mark, and fortunately for us, their footprints as well. Burglars across the country have been captured by police because of the tracks left in the snow. Police officers can follow trails and even identify shoe prints in the snow on a cold day.

Urban myths dictate that burglars and thieves commit fewer crimes in cold and snowy weather because, let’s face it, no one wants to be outside for hours getting cold and wet. Develop good home security habits and always leave your home security system armed. Clearly there are a few dumb burglars out there, but most of them won’t leave a trail for you to follow.
