You Can’t Have Your Chicken and Eat It Too

Early Saturday morning 19-year-old Hachem Gomez was arrested after breaking into a fast-food restaurant and cooking himself a late night snack in Mt. Prospect, Ill..

Police responded to a burglar alarm that was triggered when Gomez broke the drive-thru window to enter the restaurant. Once inside he then proceeded to grab a soda and cook himself fries and chicken tenders in the microwave. However, police arrived before he was able to eat his meal.

Gomez was charged with one count of felony burglary and is scheduled to appear in court September 21st. He has no previous criminal record.

The owner of the restaurant was fortunate. By installing a Chicago home security system police were able to catch the thief before he got away with a free meal.
