It’s been a long road to recovery for U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords. After the January shooting that killed six and left 12 people wounded, the congresswoman is still undergoing rehabilitation for her injuries.

Since being released to receive outpatient therapy Giffords consulted the Federal Election Commission on her home security options. The FEC determined that using $2,200 to increase the security of her family home would not violate regulations on expenditures for personal use.

The decision came after the U.S. Capitol Police, responsible for protecting members of Congress, conducted a security evaluation of Gifford’s home in Houston, TX. Home security improvements were recommended throughout the home including: better lighting, locks and an alarm button for the house.

When installing a security alarm it’s always important to research your options. Our customers have acknowledged time and time again that a wireless alarm system is the most convenient and affordable means of home protection. Not to mention, LifeShield’s home essential kit provides four layers of backup protection and three methods of sending the alarm signal out to the monitoring center.  This system will provide the protection it promises in case of a home invasion or an emergency.
