  • Atlanta home security: A Georgia grandmother has pleaded with neighbors to help find the intruder who shot and killed her granddaughter during a burglary at their home. Her 44-year-old granddaughter had cerebral palsy and was senselessly shot in the head by a fleeing intruder when the pair returned home one morning.  Read the full story here.
  • Philadelphia home security: A serial burglar has been sentenced to at least seven years behind bars after a string a burglaries he committed last year – while he was on house arrest. Marwan Hawes was convicted in May of breaking into at least four homes in Springfield, Cheltenham, Lower Merion and Lower Gwynedd. Read more here.
  • San Antonio home security: An attempted break-in was thwarted when the pair of burglars was confronted by a group of mixed martial artists late Tuesday night. Unfortunately for the burglars, their target was a gym still full of students. The two suspects were arrested shortly after by police. The full story is here.
  • Raleigh home security: A Raleigh resident has been convicted of burglary after he broke in to the Fairdale Post Office with a sledgehammer in late 2011. He attempted to steal nine packages of bath salts that were addressed to him. He faces up to five years in prison for the offense. Read the article here.
