Burglaries, shootings, and crime stories continue to accumulate across the nation. Here’s a look at the latest news:

  • Dallas home security: In a Dallas neighborhood, a 64-year-old woman was found fatally shot in her home in the early hours of the morning. A witness arrived at the victim’s home and called police to investigate the crime. The shooting is being investigated as a homicide. Read more.
  • Miami home security: Miami-Dade Police have set-up a display of hundreds of stolen items recovered from South Florida thieves so their rightful owners can come and claim their possessions. Two suspects are in custody but police believe more are at large. They are urging residents to use home alarm systems and video surveillance to keep their homes protected. The full story is here.
  • Baltimore homes security: After a fatal robbery last week that claimed the life of Peter Marvit, local authorities are cracking down on crime. The 51-year-old man was a psychology researcher and supporter of youth music education. Robberies like these are the 2nd most reported crime in the city and usually involve innocent victims.
